The Beggar at the Railway Station...
You made a promise,
To be with me,
It was our secret,
We were going to be free,
To leave this land we have to think a lot,
By air, by sea, it will cost a lot,
I am too poor, to seek luxury,
But I have enough to set us free
We have to run, no matter how,
I will save you, it is my vow,
I am taking this pledge,
to go to the edge.
I am standing in the crowd,
Waiting for you,
I search in all directions,
I look like a fool.
Waiting for you all this time,
Really makes me change my mind,
If you love me or is the fault mine,
Or is your love really pure and divine.
People call me a fool,
Not more than a fanatic,
The world out there is cruel,
And I feel homesick.
Years have passed,
And I wait for you,
My eyes are left aghast,
And now there is nothing you can do.
It seems so much fun to others,
trouble me in the night,
hit me with the banners,
push into the dark and out of sight.
I am still waiting for you,
At this old station,
What a beast I have grown into,
And I am now feared by children.
I still survive,
I just do somehow,
how long will I stay alive?
I just have to somehow.
One day, i was begging, again,
I went to this rich lady,
My eyes meet her then,
her cheeks as red as a cherry.
I stood up on my feet,
and rose 3 inches above her head,
It was her, that cheat,
Let us go mommy, her child then said.
I stood up on my feet,
and rose 3 inches above her head,
It was her, that cheat,
Let us go mommy, her child then said.
